Coffs Coast Athletics Club is thrilled to announce a landmark partnership with The Big Banana Fun Park, which has stepped forward as the official host and supporter of two major upcoming events: the 2025 Little Athletics NSW Zone Championships and the 2026 Sawtell Fun Day Fun Run.

This collaboration brings together two iconic Coffs Coast institutions to deliver unforgettable sporting experiences for athletes, families, and the wider community. The Big Banana’s generous support will play a pivotal role in ensuring both events are delivered to the highest standard, promoting health, fitness, and fun across the region.

The 2025 Zone Championships, to be hosted at the Coffs Coast Regional Sporting Complex with The Big Banana as the official partner, will see hundreds of talented young athletes from across the North Coast compete for regional honours on 29–30 November 2025. The event will feature track and field disciplines for under-7 to under-17 age groups, showcasing the next generation of Australian athletic stars.

Looking ahead, the 2026 Sawtell Fun Day Fun Run, scheduled for New Years Day 2026, will combine community participation with family friendly festivities. With The Big Banana’s backing, the event promises enhanced participant experiences, including themed warm-ups, recovery zones, and post-run celebrations at one of Australia’s most beloved landmarks.

“We are incredibly grateful to The Big Banana for their enthusiastic support,” said Simon Hill, President of Coffs Coast Athletics Club. “Their commitment ensures these events will not only run smoothly but will also inspire greater community involvement in athletics and active lifestyles. This partnership is a perfect blend of sport, fun, and local pride.”

Both events will feature prominent branding from The Big Banana, including event signage, participant giveaways, and interactive zones to keep spectators engaged.
