• Need to sight proof of age on new registration (ie birth cert, baby book etc
• Season runs 4.00pm 23 September 10 to end of March 11.
• Ages 5 to 17
• Compete at Toormina Oval on Toormina Road (near Centro Toormina Shopping Centre).
• A parent/guardian must be in attendance at all times on competition nights. Centre not a child sitting service. Do not register if this is not possible.
• Parent participation is crucial in assisting with running of competition each week. Nothing difficult just need people to do small things.
• Focus on Personal Bests not winning
• Costs $80 first child, then $150 for 2, $210 for 3, $260 for 4 and $310 for 5 (Cash, cheque, money order only).
• Club shirt or crop top $20 (only compulsory if athletes competing at higher level carnivals) however recommended for all.
• Competition Thursdays from 4.00pm on 23/9 and then 4.50pm after holidays 14/10/10 (takes 60 mins to 90 mins depending on numbers, ages)
• All events covered - sprints, middle distance, throws, jumps, hurdles, walks
• Younger ages generally do 4 events each week (2 runs, throw and jump), older age groups generally do 5 events will some choice. Program changes each week.
• Athletes opportunity to compete at Zone, Region and State Championships (if they want to). Parents must help with rostered duty if entering these Championships.
• Expect approx 230 registrations from 20 local school.
